Description
The offset snare wire for a 14 Inches premier 2000 snare drum has two parallel rows of 7 strands each, separate by a gap in the center designed to decrease the overall vibration of the wires. Not only is the result a drier and crisper sound, but the wires will be less influenced by sympathetic vibrations from other drums and instruments. The snare has an overall length of 16 1/8 Inches, and a strand length of 15 Inches (including the soldered area on each end-plate). each end plate has two key-holes designed to hook onto the drum's strainer system. Puresound's vintage series snare wires are designed not only to replace worn and no longer available wires on vintage snares, they are also designed to enhance the performance of those classic drums.
